Local Islington councillor Diarmaid Ward has called on Peabody Housing Association to extend the public response period to their consultation on the future of the former Holloway Prison site.
In his tweet, which followed a direct communication, Councillor Ward says that "in these difficult times we need to give everyone a chance to have their say." He reiterated the council's - and the community's - desire to work with Peabody "to make this development brilliant" but insisted that "we need to have our say."
The consultation is currently open until 3 July on Peabody's Holloway Prison consultation website. They are asking for public feedback on the 'virtual exhibition' through this online survey.
At public meetings, many people have pointed out that there is a lack of sufficient information in the exhibition and that the questions in the survey are too rigid, not allowing for proper responses.
